As many of you know Pastor Kevin suffered complications from prostrate cancer surgery that was performed last week. His doctors performed emergency surgery tonight to reduce intestinal swelling which was brought on by urine leakage. By Thursday afternoon he will be flown to shock trauma where he will need two additional surgeries. He’s considered to be in stable but critical condition right now as he’s in a medically induced coma for the next 48-72 hours to allow his body to rest and repair. The doctors believe Pastor Kevin will remain at the University of Maryland for two to three weeks.

Please continue to pray for him as well as Mrs. Karen, David, Steven, Andrew and their families for strength and peace during this time. As Mrs. Karen told me tonight she knows “Pastor Kevin is in the palm of God’s hand” and I know she’s relying on Him for everything. She appreciates all the thoughts and prayers that everyone’s lifted up so far. Continue to pray and believe in Pastor Kevin’s complete healing!

Mrs. Karen will be staying with Pastor Kevin at the University of Maryland for the next two to three weeks along with Pastor Kevin's mother, Mrs. Joyce. While there they will be staying at a hotel and this expense will add up quickly. Mrs. Karen has taken personal leave from work without pay. Please consider donating to this loving family who has done so much for the Salisbury community!
