Who We Are

I’m Marie-Adélina de la Ferrière, founder of the Kingdom of Navassa—a fun yet impactful project that uses creativity to heal, uplift, and build community. Today, I’m asking you to join me in launching the Bernadine Casseus Trans Laureate Program. This first-of-its-kind platform will select one transgender, nonbinary, or gender-expansive artist each year to serve as a cultural ambassador for the global trans community.

Why It Matters

Trans voices are being silenced across the world; this program aims to place trans brilliance center-stage. Named in honor of my late aunt, the Laureate will curate performances, readings, workshops, and exhibitions that celebrate gender diversity and spark dialogue far beyond our trans diaspora.
