<div>I’m Marie-Adélina de la Ferrière, founder of the <a href="https://kingdomofnavassa.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kingdom of Navassa</a>—a fun yet impactful project that uses creativity to heal, uplift, and build community. Today, I’m asking you to join me in launching the <a href="https://kingdomofnavassa.org/laureate" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bernadine Casseus Trans Laureate Program</a>. This first-of-its-kind platform will select one transgender, nonbinary, or gender-expansive artist each year to serve as a cultural ambassador for the global trans community.

<div>Trans voices are being silenced across the world; this program aims to place trans brilliance center-stage. <a href="https://www.advocate.com/transgender/trans-woman-advice-column" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Named in honor of my late aunt</a>, the Laureate will curate performances, readings, workshops, and exhibitions that celebrate gender diversity and spark dialogue far beyond our trans diaspora.
