The sweetest soul...Mark Greenwood

My name is Monica Helton and I am starting this page to help support the family of our dear friend Mark Greenwood and his mother, Pattie Greenwood.

It is with great sadness to say that a precious soul made his way to heaven on Saturday, February 8, 2025. It was very unexpected and so sudden...this is so heartbreaking!

His mom, Pattie, was also sent home the day before his death on hospice and is struggling with her final battle of cancer. As devastating as this is, we all believe that God had a plan. Mark was truly struggling with the thought of losing his mom and she was struggling with leaving him behind. Pattie is now at peace on her journey of life and she is believing her precious son is waiting for her at the gates of heaven. It truly seems like God's divine appointment.

Mark was such a sparkle of joy to everyone who knew him. He was always such a help and always asked if others were ok. It is no surprise to us that he wanted to be in heaven and hold the door open for his beautiful momma...Mark was a true gentleman!

His infectious smile, his curiosity about life, his knowledge of movies, his love for the campfire, his love for others, his love for the community and his LOVE for recycling will be missed by us all.

If you knew Mark, you knew he was the first one to ask if he could help with anything...from the trash, the dishes, moving, walking the dog, feeding the dogs, feeding the cows and just offering a hug if he thought you needed one. He was a man that loved with all his heart and loved unconditionally.

We are asking for any help at this time to assist with all the costs that are occurring. We are also asking for any pictures, special stories or favorite memories that you may have be emailed to [email redacted] so we can put them together to share with his mom.
