The Official "River Dave" Fundraiser
Hello to everyone who has been concerned about River Dave and following his story. I am happy to report that he is finally free as of 5pm 8/5/21. I had a chance to meet with him this evening and he was in great spirits despite everything he's been through. It's really unbelievable. He was also so blown away and appreciative to everyone of you that offered to help. It brought him to tears. A huge thank you to Jodie Gedeon who picked him up and has been instrumental in getting the story out. The news story is global at this point.
David has agreed to accept help. His ultimate goal is to find a resolution to live on the Merrimack like he was. He will be checking in the next 24hrs to see what he has for personal belongings at this point. He will be communicating with Jodie and I will be keeping everyone updated on the Help River Dave Facebook Page. We should use that as the main communication forum. We are starting this go fund me to raise funds for potential legal fees, a surveyor and when the time comes building materials and daily living supplies. If you can donate please do. Also please feel free to share this in every state and on every media and social media you are on.
We will be calling on people in the future to help with building, electric, plumbing etc.. Please watch the "Help River Dave Page" for requests and updates.
If you are the media and would like to do an interview, you can reach out via messenger on that page and we will reach out to you. The folks running that page and volunteering all have jobs and this will be the easiest way to coordinate all activities through one platform.
