The Hassett's Adoption!

We are so excited to share this amazing news with the world. Just a few weeks ago we were approached by a friend that had a family member that became pregnant. The pregnancy was unwanted and unplanned. Miraculously, this family was open to adoption for their baby!
For Alex and I this is a huge answer to prayer. Adoption has been something on our hearts for quite some time. Some of you may know that Alex had extreme health complications with Jensen and almost died in the process. Jensen was born at 2lbs and after all of that we discovered a lot of underlying causes for that in Alex's health. Ultimately, due to many doctor recommendations, Alex was lead to make the decision to medically prevent any and all future pregnancies. Alex is no longer able to have children by natural means which was a hard decision for her to make.
BUT, God is so good and gracious and adoption has always been a desire in our hearts. We are so excited! The process has just begun and the birth mother is right at the half way mark in her pregnancy. Because this is an uncontested adoption process and there was already a relationship with the birth parents our adoption expenses are much less than what would be normal. As soon as we can we need to get a home study scheduled and done.
As we have very slowly shared this news with people, we have been asked multiple times about how people can help. Because of that, we are opening this up to anyone. If you would like to contribute to cover the expenses of the home study as well as state filing paperwork, this is your chance! We appreciate any and everything as this was not necessarily something we were planning for so quickly. The baby will be here before we know it and we due to Covid restrictions we need to move forward on things swiftly!
