The Hardest Working Man with Cancer

In December 2010, our dad Sid Beattie was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 prostate cancer. The news was shocking based on years of previous positive wellness exams and doctor assurances he was in good health. Uncertainty plagued all of us for the first part of his diagnosis as we learned what it means to live with terminal illness.

In recent weeks dad has begun chemo therapy treatments and this has affected his everyday quality of life. General weakness, fatigue, and nausea are some of the common symptoms that affect many chemo patients and our dad is no exception. Previously he has enjoyed hunting, walking, long drives through beautiful country, and an ice cream cone here or there! Some of these things are beginning to fade away, so here is what we want to accomplish with this Sid retire! With all the medical expenses and a limited retirement it is almost impossible for our dad to leave work, but that's not what we want for him.

Please help us ease the financial burden on our parents, so our dad can enjoy the time he has remaining. We appreciate any contributions to increase the quality of the days and memories we have left to make.
