The hardest day.

I was deployed and I get a call my Dad was admitted in the hospital for Covid. He was doing ok for 3 weeks until his condition got worse. He had to get incubated for the last 21 days he’s been highly sedated and today he’s not doing well. His heart is failing and his body is shutting down and they have exhausted all their resources. Doctor will be taking out his ventilator tube and then my Dad will take his last breathe. I went to visit him and my heart broke. I’ve never seen my Dad like this. He’s always been well and ready to take us somewhere. We are all devastated. It’s the hardest thing my family and I have ever had to endured. This has been so unexpected for us.
