The Happy Scrubs - Fabric Fundraiser

Donation protected
Overview

Healthcare workers on the frontline are in desperate need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the coming weeks and months as they battle the Pandemic. They are at incredible risk with countries overseas having up to 1 in 10 of their healthcare workers infected.  Adequate personal protection, and large volumes of it will help protect workers so that they can stay well to help the community. To try and ease this aspect for these workers, we are creating a community led initiative, linking up local sewers and fabric suppliers to create scrubs that will be essential as they go into battle for us.

Happy Scrubs are a Victorian based initiative who are seeking collaborators -  local volunteer sewers, fabric and sewing suppliers and sponsors, to make PPE that will be paramount in keeping our health workforce, and communities safe. Learn more at our website.

Distribution of the scrubs and PPE will be done in collaboration with Fairfield Paediatrics and frontline medical organisations, and will go straight to the hands of the workers that need them the most.

Crowd Funding

Happy Scrubs is looking for donations which will fund the hard costs associated with the PPE. Can you help get our Healthcare Workers dressed for work?

Your contribution will cover the hard costs associated with making the scrubs - fabric, elastic, petrol for delivery.

Happy scrubs is volunteer led, and  relies on the amazing work of our volunteer sewers who are all donating their time and skills to provide free PPE to healthcare workers that need them most.

How much should I donate?

Any contribution helps, but the below costs are an indication of how much the PPE will cost:

$30 - Will buy 1x pair of SCRUBS
$25 - Will buy 1x GOWN
$15 - will buy 1x THEATER CAP

We have already started making scrubs - For more info on The Happy Scrubs, or if you would like to register as a sewer or Healthcare Worker, please visit:
