Help Keep 64 Victoria Seniors in the Place They Call Home

For nearly 30 years, The Glenshiel Housing Society has provided affordable, independent housing for seniors in the heart of Victoria. Today, 64 seniors call The Glenshiel home.

Our residents receive more than an affordable room. They receive three meals a day, housekeeping, utilities, activities, laundry facilities and the security of a staffed front desk 24 hours a day—all while maintaining their independence, dignity and connection to community.

But The Glenshiel needs help.

The rising costs of food, staffing, utilities, insurance and maintaining our century-old building have placed enormous financial pressure on our small not-for-profit Society. Although the building is provincially owned as part of the Royal BC Museum property portfolio, The Glenshiel has not been able to access the ongoing provincial housing assistance needed to sustain our unique model.

While we continue advocating for government support and working toward solutions for much-needed building renovations, we still have to keep the doors open today.

Every donation will help us continue providing meals, housekeeping, staffing, building operations and the everyday services our residents depend upon.

These 64 affordable seniors' homes already exist. We don't want Victoria to lose them.

Please help us protect The Glenshiel and the wonderful seniors who call it home.

Help us keep the doors open. Help us keep seniors independent. Help us save The Glenshiel.
