The Ambulance Staff Charity
Hey, It's Liam from Pocket Paramedic.
I'm spending my 36th birthday (27th July) completing the Yorkshire Tough Mudder to raise money for The Ambulance Staff Charity.
The Ambulance Staff Charity is the leading UK charity providing support to present and past ambulance staff and their families in time of need.
They provide confidential, impartial and independent advice and access to a range of support services, including rehabilitation when recovering from illness or injury, mental health support, bereavement support, debt and welfare advice, financial grants and other support.
As a paramedic myself, I know ambulance staff need continued support to help them stay healthy in both mind and body. I, like so many of my colleagues, have suffered from mental health problems relating to the challenges of the job.
My goal is to help charities like The Ambulance Staff Charity, support staff in their time of need by doing ridiculous sporting events to raise as much money as possible.
This is just the beginning.
My first goal - to raise £1000 by the 27th of July.
