As many of you know, the Fairbairn family is the first in line to help anyone and everyone and so now it is our turn to give back to them. Please help if you are able and/or pray for Addy and her family as they embark upon this difficult journey in the upcoming weeks/months/years. Below is the beginning of their story.
Update: We received the news today that no parents want to hear or have to tell their child. Addy has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We will find out more information tomorrow. What we do know: 95% of her bone marrow cells are Leukemia. We will be on a 29 day aggressive treatment plan to get them out. She will be having her spinal fluid tested for leukemia cells. She will get her port tomorrow and immediately start Chemo. We will be here for at least another week. After that, it’s 1-2 days a week for treatment—out patient. At times, it will be in-patient. Also, it will depend how she is responding. They are going to try a new clinical trial for her. The first six months will be pretty aggressive. After that, it’s 1-2 times a month. Total treatment—we were told to plan for 2.5 years. They believe it’s treatable. We have a fighter on our hands. Addy knows she can beat this! Thank you all for your prayers, messages of support, and love. We will need all of you as we embark on this journey. ❤️
