Team Ziva fighting childhood leukemia

Donation protected
This summer, 6 year old Ziva was diagnosed with childhood leukemia.  The type of leukemia that Ziva has is called AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).  Ziva lives in Aptos, California, with her parents, her brother, Noah, and her sister, Tamar.  She loves unicorns, rainbows, legos, LOL dolls, sparkles, ballet, being fabulous, and dressing up.  She loves digging holes in the sand with her syblings and cousins, and spending all day at the beach.

Ziva has been fighting cancer, receiving chemo treatments, since July of 2019.  After learning that the chemo treatments were not working as hoped, her doctors and providers at Kaiser in Santa Clara have been trying to help prepare her body for a bone marrow transplant.  Her body was also not responding to traditional chemotherapies in this process, so she was recently transferred to UC San Francisco for clinical trials.   Her doctors and providers are amazed at her energy, her communication, and her resilience through so many difficult moments over these last several months.  They continue trying new chemo treatments to work towards getting her to a bone marrow transplant.

Ziva and her family are an incredible asset to their community- they are generous, giving people who offer unwavering loyalty and love towards their neighbors and friends.  The Mitnicks are active in their faith community, schools, the surf community, and they are incredible parents and friends.  The time is now for their community and for anyone who can empathize with this crisis to mobilize and give back to them.  Resources are needed to help ease worry about medical bills and expenses that are incurring from travelling and staying in San Francisco.  If we are able to raise more than needed for medical expenses, additional money could help them afford to take time from work or running their chocolate business, so that they can be entirely focused on their little one's healing and focusing on their family's needs.

We need each person out there praying for a miracle for this 1 in a million little girl.

Thank you so much for anything you can offer.
