Tarynn Christiancy's 2nd Surgery
On July 17 my niece will turn 2 years old! For her 2nd birthday mommy and daddy will be again, driving her to Houston, TX for another surgery. Tarynn Kay was diagnosed with Erbs Palsy, or Brachial Plexus Birth Palsy, (The nerves in the brachial plexus give movement and feeling to the baby's arm, hand, and fingers. Erb's palsy is frequently caused by shoulder dystocia during a difficult birth. Infants with this condition usually can't move the affected shoulder or upper arm, but they may be able to wiggle their fingers) basically, she has no use of her right arm. Since the first surgery didn't work as well as the doctor's had hoped, Lindsi and Justin will be traveling back to Houston for another surgery where they will relocate the muscle by her shoulder hoping to allow Tarynn movement and use of her right arm. The traveling expenses should be the least of their worries, as they are also dealing with the emotions of having to put their baby under, another scary situation, and long road of physical therapy and recovery. Any donations to the trip expenses would be greatly appreciated.
