Lizzy and Mason have a rare genetic disorder called Ligase IV deficiency. Ligase IV effects the immune system, Mason and Lizzy had a bone marrow transplant to fix their immune system. Ligase IV is a very complex disorder. The kids are believed to have a form of primordial dwarfism. Mason has had many complications post BMT. We travel to Cincinnati every few weeks for Mason's doctor appointments.
