Shot 3 times...help Rio get surgery
Donation protected
Mercy's Door Pet Rescue was contacted by Gary, a concerned, compassionate animal lover, who wanted to assist Rio's owner , Daryl, in raising the necessary funds to treat injuries to his dog, a beloved member of his family.
On Thusday evening Rio, a retired therapy dog, was the victim of a malicious attack in her very own front yard. According to Daryl, Rio was shot 3 times pointblank from an unknown suspect, who fled on foot, causing injuries, the extent of which is currently unknown without further medical treatment. These injuries include her foot, hind quarters and abdomen. One bullet remains lodged inside. Rio was treated initially by the good doctors at Creekside Animal Clinic in Norton. However, with one bullet remaining in her abdomen an exploratory sugery is required for removal and to see what damage has been done.
Donations to this account will go directly to the care and treatment of Rio. Her surgery will be scheduled as soon as funds are available. Gary and Daryl have also decided that. The amount of $500, if raised above the costs associated with all of Rio's medical bills will go as a reward to anyone that provides information leading to the conviction of this cowardly suspect that shot a beautiful, harmless innocent family member. Above the reward, any remaining funds will be donated to Mercy's Door Pet Rescue, which will go to help their dogs currently in foster care looking for forever homes.
Thank you for caring.
