Last night, during a high school football game, Darius (“Dee”) suffered a severe spinal injury that required emergency surgery. Right now, Dee remains in intensive care, surrounded by the love and strength of his incredible family.
Darius is more than just an athlete — he’s an amazing big brother, a loyal friend, and one of the kindest, funniest, and most genuine young men you’ll ever meet.
Whether he’s cheering on his teammates, joking with friends, or helping his younger siblings, his heart always shines through.
The Ciaralli family has been a huge part of the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club — both parents are active board members, and their kids proudly wear green and gold. Dee also plays for the Sisler Spartans, where he is loved by his teammates.
As the family begins this long and uncertain road ahead, we’re asking our community to rally around them the way they’ve always shown up for others. Funds raised will help cover:
Hospital parking and travel expenses
Meals and daily costs while they stay by Dee’s side
Future rehabilitation and therapy needs
Every donation, prayer, and message of support means the world. The road to recovery will be long, but Darius is strong — and he’s not walking it alone.
Please keep Darius and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Together, we can lift them up and remind them that the entire Nomads and Spartans families — and the whole Winnipeg community — are behind them.
