Kia Ora!
I have successfully graduated from my DTS at YWAM Zion, Northland, New Zealand!

DTS was an amazing journey and I can’t believe that it’s over! It seems like it was just yesterday - saying final goodbyes to friends and family before flying out of Canada for five months. New Zealand, the staff, my classmates, and everything about DTS has my heart!
DTS LECTURE PHASE
Our lecture phase consisted of 12 weeks in the classroom with amazing speakers who really poured into us! My favorite lectures were on the Holy Spirit, Relationships, Father Heart of God, and Hearing God's voice! My relationship with God kept growing and growing throughout these 12 weeks!! I kept falling in love with Him more every day and kept getting the urge to spend more time with Him My one-on-ones were also a big highlight. My one-on-one leader was so intentional with me and I’ve never felt so seen and heard.
DTS OUTREACH PHASE

I went to Bali, Indonesia for outreach! To be honest, when I first heard that I was going to Bali for outreach I was a little disappointed. When I thought of Bali I imagined ‘Dream Vacation’ not an outreach location. My view of doing outreach in Bali immediately changed during our first week there. Bali needs Jesus. Indonesia is a Muslim majority country, but Bali is the one island (out of 17,000 - 18,000) that is majority Hindu. My team and I were involved in many things during our six weeks in Bali!
Evangelism/Prayer walking/Worship on the beach
There is power in prayer walking! There is power in doing worship in public places! There is power in talking to people about Jesus! Before outreach I was scared to evangelize and didn’t really see the importance of prayer walking and doing worship in public. It is illegal to share the Good News in Bali. Our outreach team was told many times to be careful with ‘hot words’ (ministry, Jesus etc.) and was warned that there is an app that locals use to take videos of people evangelizing that could end with us going to jail. We were cautious the first couple times we went out for evangelism, but we got in the groove of it with the Lord's help! We did lots of prayer walks and went where the Lord guided us My heart posture for prayer walks changed when my outreach leader said, “When we prayer walk and don’t see or feel like anything is changing, that doesn’t mean that God isn’t moving. We are paving the way and making it easier for the missionaries that are to come!” My outreach team had a big heart for worship and the Lord blessed our team with many musical gifts! We used those gifts and declared the name of Jesus many times on the beaches through worship! We could feel the atmosphere around us change and when we worshiped we had no fear of man. Many people were watching, some watched us with smiles and others out of curiosity.
Sex Trafficking Ministry
My heart goes out to the girls, boys, women, and men that are in this endless cycle of pain, grief, and loneliness. Six of us girls from our outreach team joined this ministry. The first evening we joined this ministry we did a prayer walk in one of the locations. We actually walked around the same area earlier that day but when I partnered with God in prayer the atmosphere felt so different. We were surrounded by sex, drugs, bars, and tourists who were looking to have a good time. I was with the leader of this ministry and he pointed out all the girls who were in the sex trafficking industry. Many of the girls he pointed out I never would have guessed were involved in this. The other nights we joined in on the sex trafficking ministry, we handed out gifts (the gifts contained contact information if they wanted to get out of the industry) to the girls and had conversations with them. I loved talking to the girls and getting to know them and their stories.
Prison Ministry
The two men’s prisons we went to were the Narcotic prison and the Juvenile prison. In the prisons we played games with the guys, taught English, did testimonies and had small groups. I was able to share my testimony in both prisons When we were at the front of the class we weren’t allowed to say the name of Jesus, but in small groups we were! I really enjoyed small groups, sharing about my faith and getting to pray for the guys in the name of Jesus!
Ministry in two villages
The first village we stayed at for a week was Munduk, a little mountain town. You may not believe me, but it got cold during the evenings. At this village we taught English, played games with the kids, did many skits, did house visits, went on prayer walks, and led a church service! At the second village called Klungkung we were staying with a Hindu priest and his family. During our time we went to two high schools (at one high school there were around 200 students) and did games, skits, dancing and small groups with the students. We also did English classes with the girls in the village and hung out with the boys!
During our six weeks in Bali we also joined soccer ministry, campus ministry (connecting with university students and doing an English group with them), homeless ministry, and we led worship at the church! Thank you Jesus for bringing me to Bali, Indonesia!❤️
Drumroll please! I am now in….. Mazatlán, Mexico! I have just started my Bible School for the Nations with YWAM. I applied for this course at the end of April and was accepted while I was on outreach in Bali! I am very excited for this next season here in Mexico! BSN is a 6 month program, 4 months of lecture phase and 2 months of outreach During lecture phase I will be studying the whole Bible in chronological order and will gain understanding of God's Word in its context, culture and literary styles. During lecture phase I will also be learning how to convey the Word to others! My outreach will be two months long and during this time I will be going to small villages in Mexico as a Bible teacher! I can’t wait to grow in my intimacy with the Lord and learn how to spread His Word to others!
During a call with the leader of my BSN, we were talking about fees and my lack of them. I only had enough to fly to Mexico and back but he encouraged me to apply if it was what the Lord was telling me to do, so I did. The fees for my BSN lecture phase is approximately $6,200 CAN ($4,500 USD) which I have to pay in full by July 26th. There is a grace week if I do not submit my payment by the 26th, but that means that I won’t be able to sit in on lectures for that week.
God has truly shown me His goodness as a Father who provides for His daughter when all my DTS fees were raised before I left Canada! I am so thankful to each and every one of you who has supported me financially and prayerfully. Here I am again, trusting that the Lord's ways are higher and greater than mine! I lift my finances to Him and put it in His hands! If you have the desire to partner with me in prayer and/or financially, I would really appreciate it!
Thank you for your continued support!
