My name is Youssef Mustafa Kharroub, and I am originally from the northern part of Gaza. Due to the ongoing conflict, I was forced to leave my home and have been displaced to the south of Gaza, in Mawsa Khan Younis, for the past eight months.

I am a 46-year-old father with four children: my eldest daughter Raqi, who is 13 years old, my son Fatthee, also 13 years old, my 10-year-old daughter Tuline, and my youngest daughter Tala, who is 6 years old.

Four years ago, during the “March of Return,” I was severely injured, resulting in the amputation of my leg. This injury drastically changed my life.

As a single father with a disability, I have faced immense challenges in providing for my family. I turned to social media and begging for support to meet our basic needs. The dire circumstances have separated me from my children and made it incredibly difficult for me to see them.

Before the war, I owned a car that was essential for my mobility as a person with special needs. Unfortunately, the war destroyed my car and everything else I had. Now, I find myself constantly on the move, having been displaced more than 20 times, living in different tents, and still facing uncertainty every day.

I am reaching out for help in any form. Any support you can provide to reunite me with my children, secure stable housing, at least we can buy food and water and get some medication or assist with basic necessities would make a world of difference in our lives.

Our goal is set at $50k, an approximation of what the family will need to evacuate & rebuild their life:

$5000 for 1 adult to evacuate via Egyptian agency

$10000 for 4 children to evacuate

$1500 for fees associated with evacuation - passports, application fees to speed up process

$3500 - travel expenses such as flights, transportation, depending on immigration program options in Egypt vs. other countries.

$15000 - medical expenses, new wheelchair, and additional accommodations for disability

$15000 - Buffer to cover rent, living expenses in Egypt for all 5 family members
