We are currently in the process of finalizing our official nonprofit donation account. In the meantime, donations can be made directly to the Museum. If GoFundMe is your preferred way to give, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to notify you as soon as the campaign goes live. Thank you for your support of the Museum and its future.
Phase 1: Interpretive Plan - Building the Foundation for our Future.
For more than 125 years, Tulsa’s firefighters have answered the call by risking their lives to protect ours, standing watch through storms, floods, and fires. Their courage, innovation, and dedication have shaped the history of our city. The Tulsa Fire Museum, located in the historic Fire Alarm Building, exists to ensure that their legacy is preserved, understood, and celebrated for generations to come.
Today, we stand at an important milestone in that mission. Before we can design new exhibits, expand our space, or welcome more visitors, we must first create the Tulsa Fire Museum Interpretive Plan - a professionally developed roadmap that will guide how we tell our story.
This plan is the first step in our larger fundraising effort, made possible through the Museum’s Planning and Construction Fund. It will lay the groundwork for the full revitalization of the Museum by defining how artifacts, archives, and stories connect to the larger themes of service, innovation, and community.
The Interpretive Plan will:
- Establish the vision, goals, and priorities for the Museum’s future exhibits and educational programs.
- Identify the stories and milestones most vital to Tulsa’s firefighting heritage.
- Provide the framework needed to seek major grants and partnerships for exhibit development.
- Ensure that every piece of our history, from early hand-drawn engines to modern-day service, is preserved and presented with care, accuracy, and respect.
This project marks the beginning of a renewed chapter for the Tulsa Fire Museum. With your support, we can take the first critical step toward transforming our historic space into a dynamic center of education, remembrance, and community pride. Every contribution to this campaign directly supports the creation of the Interpretive Plan, the foundation upon which the future Museum will be built.
By helping us fund this essential first phase, you are investing in a promise that Tulsa’s fire service legacy will continue to inspire and educate for generations to come. Together, we can ensure that the stories of Tulsa’s bravest are never forgotten.
Support the Tulsa Fire Museum’s Interpretive Plan through our Planning and Construction Fund today, and help us build a home for Tulsa's incredible fire history.
