Support Tino's Dream and Help Florentino's Bloom
Donation protected
Seattle’s Darling Tino is celebrating his birthday early! I hope that you can help me make my birthday wish come true.

I absolutely love working with flowers and plants, so much so that I have made it my lifelong career ever since my very first job as a florist at Bounty in 1997. That is why I am utterly thrilled to announce that I’m finally opening a flower shop of my very own: Florentino’s!
My dear friend from high school, Shannon Koyano, owns a fabulous gift shop in Madison Park (Hella Happy!) and has been gracious enough to share her space with me. My goal is to get the shop open this summer. But, I won’t be able to do it without your support.
I have been saving for quite some time now to make this dream become a reality, but I still have a ways to go. This year, instead of treating me to a round of birthday drinks or a delicious meal, if you’re able, I humbly request that you please show me your support by donating to my startup fund. If even half of you gave $50, that would easily surpass my goal. Of course, a gift of any amount will be appreciated. I’m hoping from our years of friendship, and the experiences we’ve shared, not to mention the countless floral arrangements, that you know by now what I’m capable of and that you believe in me enough to help support me and my dream.
For those of you who wish to help and are also looking for a good value, you’ll be happy to know that for $1,000 I’m offering memberships to The Gilded Lily Society. Society members are entitled to one $100 floral arrangement per month for a whole year. Now that’s a deal worth taking! By becoming a member, you’re proclaiming your confidence in me and becoming an inaugural client. In addition to the $200 per year on flowers you’ll be saving, you’ll also be providing me with initial capital that would greatly increase my liquidity and carry me through the first few months of operation.
Lastly, what would flowers be without delicious libations? Seattle’s Darling will also be selling bottled wine, sake, cider and beer. Find a Burgundy that matches your roses; pick-up some Prosecco on your way to the park; grab some bombers for the beach; or dash in before your dinner date and score some extra points by grabbing a bottle of blush to go along with your bouquet. (You definitely can “say it with flowers,” but a little wine can help embolden you to say it a bit more effectively.)
No matter what, I want to thank everyone for their time, their unending support, and most importantly, their love. I am truly grateful to have you in my life. Here’s to turning more everyday moments into amusing memories that will continue to bring us delight throughout the years to come.
