Hello, my name is Chaz Austin. I’m a proud graduate of Loyola High School’s Class of 2024 and a current freshman at Morehouse College. Many in our community have been deeply affected by the recent fires that swept through Los Angeles, especially the devastating Eaton Fires.

These fires have displaced countless families, destroying homes and changing lives. Among those impacted is the Valdes family—a family I’ve been privileged to call Dash, Desi, and Remi friends and teammates. They have always been there for me, from cheering us on under the Friday night lights to always being there when others need uplifting.

The Valdes family lost their home in this tragedy. While no amount of money can replace the memories and sense of security that was taken, we can come together to provide hope and help them.
