Support the Princess Theatre

The Princess Theatre is a vibrant centre for entertainment in the picturesque holiday town of Hunstanton. There was a time, not so long ago, when the Theatre stood empty - we now urgently need your support to help us remain open and meet the challenges and uncertainty posed by the coronavirus pandemic, and to avoid a return to these dark days.

The Princess Theatre was reopened in 2011, with a vision to become a thriving home of entertainment, and a place to socialise, meet old friends, make new ones, and become a key component of the Hunstanton tourist industry. With support from the local community, this vision has been realised, and today the Theatre is the cultural hub of the town, and a venue that all Hunstanton residents can be proud of.

The Theatre offers a rich programme of shows, synonymous with the heritage of good old fashioned summer season entertainment, and recent investments have created an attractive and inviting terrace bar where holidaymakers can relax and enjoy the sun setting over the wash. Today the Princess Theatre is a major and important 'go to reason' for visiting Hunstanton, bringing tourism and business into the town.

The Theatre regularly stages links to major West End Operas, Ballets, and hit West End shows, and since 2015 has staged a pantomime that brings adults and hordes of excited school children to Hunstanton to celebrate the Christmas period in the old traditional way.

The Princess Theatre has truly become a place of daytime and evening enjoyment for everybody, young, old, local, or holiday visitor.

But now the Theatre faces a challenge, a challenge that threatens all the advances that have been made since those days when the Theatre was a blot on the Hunstanton landscape. The coronavirus has taken its toll across all forms of entertainment in the United Kingdom, many entertainment establishments will not survive, and without your support the Princess Theatre is at risk of closing permanently. Your donation, no matter how small, can help us stay in business and continue to contribute to the cultural heritage of Hunstanton.

Thank you for your support --- Brian
