Support The Matvenko Family
Donation protected
On March 3, 2023 Gary Matvenko was injured while unloading his snowmobile at Hunter’s Range near Enderby, BC. Having sustained a head and neck injury he was airlifted to Kelowna and then onto Vancouver General Hospital. Gary has a serious spinal cord injury and he will have a long road to recovery with a planned one month stay in the hospital spinal cord unit followed by three months at GF Strong Rehabilitation in Vancouver followed by a currently undetermined rehabilitation process.
Gary’s income from owner/operator of Quality Excavating will be put on hold for an extended period of time and his wife Sheryl is taking a leave of absence from her work as a nurse to live in rental accommodations in Vancouver to be with Gary and help in the rehabilitation process. Their two children are travelling from Nanaimo on weekends to be there for dad.
Anyone who knows the Matvenko family knows they are amazing people who never hesitate to support those in need. During this difficult time they are the one’s in need – thank you for helping such a wonderful family.
