Support Mike Mallett’s Family After a Devastating Accident

What began as a spring break trip with friends and family in St. George, Utah has turned into a life-altering tragedy for Mike Mallett and his family.

On April 2, while traveling back to camp in a caravan of vehicles, an unthinkable accident occurred. In an instant, everything changed. Amid dust, sun, and limited visibility, a fire broke out involving one of the vehicles carrying his wife, daughter, and friends.

Thanks to the quick actions of fellow firefighters on scene, lives were saved—but the impact has been severe.

His 15-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, was airlifted to a burn center in Las Vegas with burns covering approximately 40% of her body. The most serious injuries are to her legs and hand. Since arriving at the hospital, she has already undergone surgery, with many more ahead.

Brooklyn is a freshman in high school and a dedicated dancer on her varsity team. Her strength and spirit are already shining through, but the road ahead will be long, painful, and uncertain. Doctors anticipate a hospital stay of at least two months, followed by extensive recovery and rehabilitation.

While one child fights to heal in a hospital hours away, the family is also navigating the emotional toll on their 17-year-old son, who witnessed the accident and is now separated from his parents during this critical time.

The Mallett family will be living in Las Vegas to remain by Brooklyn’s side, balancing hospital care, travel, and supporting their son from afar. The financial, emotional, and logistical burden is immense.

Brother Mallett has spent his life serving others. Now, his family needs that same support.

Any contribution—big or small—will help ease the burden of medical expenses, travel, temporary housing, and the long road to recovery ahead. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser and keeping the family in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.

Let’s come together to support Brooklyn and the Mallett family as they face this unimaginable challenge.
