Help Stacey Recover From Devastating Car Accident

Stacey Miller is a very special person to so many. As a multi-generational frontier Montanan, her roots run deep in this place we call home. She lives in Missoula, Montana, and has dedicated much of her life to helping others and raising her beloved daughter Rachel. Her love of Missoula is outpaced only by her love of Rachel and her family, who are integral parts of the Missoula and Montana communities. For decades, they have helped countless others and causes that benefit all Montanans.

A week ago, Stacey had a devastating car accident returning from an excursion around Freezeout Lake. An adventurer at heart, she had taken to the road in her trusty Subaru, and in a stroke of terrible luck, met another car on the road head-on. Her injuries are severe, and we hope with each passing day that she will live to see the next. The amazing team at St. Patrick's Hospital put her back together enough to send her for more care in Salt Lake City. She has undergone dozens of hours of surgery since last Sunday, and for the first time this weekend, opened her eyes to the love of her friends and family. She is not out of the woods, but our hope increases as we see daily progress. Her daughter, a nurse in Missoula, has been by her mother's side since she arrived in SLC, and we are confident that the love and devotion of family and friends will keep her here with us.

The world needs Stacey; her family needs her, as anyone with children or parents can relate to. She is retired, living on a fixed income like most retirees.
