Hi! My name is Kate Saad and I am from New York. In the Spring of 2019, I travelled to Zambia alongside my family. It was there, where I met Edwin Ng’uni, the Director of Thandizani Trust School. What I saw and experienced there has stayed with me ever since. The school provides free, high-quality education for over 350 children, in an area where opportunities are scarce.
But what struck me most was how much the students and teachers sacrifice to keep learning. Many children arrive at school on empty stomachs, and yet they're still eager to learn. The teachers work tirelessly, with little to no pay, to give their students the future they deserve.
This fundraiser will provide daily meals for the children, enabling them to focus, learn, and continue to thrive, while also ensuring that the teachers receive the small allowances they deserve for their endless efforts.
$5 provides a week of meals for one child.
$20 supports a teacher’s salary for a week.
$100 helps feed 20 children for a week.
With your support, we can make sure no child has to learn on an empty stomach and no teacher has to choose between passion and income.
Together, we can keep education alive in Simoonga Village.
