Support Scott's Family After His Brave Battle

Donation protected
Our family just lost the most important person in our lives. My dad, Scott, has battled for almost a year. Not being home in 9 months.
It started as a simple bowel obstruction, and turned into him having an infection in is blood and spine. After having several back surgeries to remove the infection, in the process he became a paraplegic.
After becoming a paraplegic, and not being turned properly, he ended up with a massive sacral wound. This was the size of a grapefruit and reached the bone-so pretty deep. Around the clock antibiotics were needed for the full 9months.
Do you know how hard it was, being by his side full time, and keeping it positive all the time. My dad had hopes of regaining his legs back, and every time he expressed this to the doctors, they would look at me with that Dr look. And I knew he never was.
Towards the end, he ended up having massive seizures and getting very frail. I'm so happy I got to decorate his hospital room for his birthday!! It was the special times him and I shared that gives me some closure. Now exactly a month later and he is home, on hospice.
All he wanted was to come home, ride his motorcycle, cut the grass and enjoy his time outside. He was suppose to retire this year, spend time with the love of his life and his family.
That's exactly what we did, we got him home. Being warned, he might not make the transport, we just prayed. The ambulance pulled in, opened the doors and here he was!!! Eyes open and ready to get in the house. That was so emotional, he was alert, spoke to people, lifted his head to kiss my daughter. And said, I love you Hun to me. Not realizing after that, he wouldn't speak another word, eat, or open his eyes again.

Please find it in your hearts to help my family during this ridiculously tough time.
And to everyone who has already donated, been there for us, my work for understanding and giving me the time to be with him WE thank you so much.
