We need help to keep our housing.

I work full-time, Sara has two jobs and works full-time, and both kids are in school.

When Sara's dad passed away in September, we missed income. We were under the impression that at least one of us would get bereavement pay, but we didn't- and that put us severely behind. Then came my injury/illness. At first, the doctors said it was just sciatica- but it is much more than that. After multiple visits to the hospital, many medications, and countless nights and days of pain we finally got a diagnosis- "severe protrusion of the L5-S1 vertebra" that is most likely going to require surgery.

Surgery, on my spine, when we have housing court. The leasing office won't work with us, either. The only thing we can do is pay them.

We created this as a last resort, if I'm being truthful.

We're facing housing court and losing our home. The schools and social services have given us many resources to try, and each one that we've reached out to has told us that they're out of funds or are just simply unable to help us. The current situation is not helping the situation, either. We are at our wits end and we need help.

Update: I ended up having emergency surgery on my spine Sunday afternoon/evening and have been in the hospital since Saturday night. We have housing court today and only Sara will be there. Apartment management said yesterday to Sara if we can clear our balance, they'll work with us and look at moving us into a ground level apartment due to my surgery. We REALLY need this. Payments can also be taken directly to our apartment office if they're a money order or cashier's check.
