Support Sarah's Recovery from Stroke
Donation protected
On June 8, Sarah Dietze’s world changed in an instant when she suffered a sudden stroke. She took an ambulance ride and was then airlifted by helicopter (her first ride ever—though not the kind anyone hopes for) to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she spent two long weeks, most of which was in the ICU, surrounded by an incredible medical team, family, and close friends.
After the University of Iowa, Sarah spent three weeks in the rehab unit at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, working tirelessly every single day to regain her strength, relearn basic skills, and push through the challenges that strokes leave behind. Her determination has been nothing short of inspirational.
Sarah is now continuing her recovery at home, but the road ahead is still long. Sarah has two teenage girls at home, Layla (17) and Lainee (14). While she focuses on her ongoing therapy, she is unable to work and provide for her family as she normally would. This fundraiser will help cover living expenses for Sarah and her girls—ensuring their home remains stable and their daily needs are met while Sarah heals.
We are asking for your support—whether through a donation, a kind message, or simply sharing this page—to help Sarah focus on what matters most: her health and recovery.
Sarah is a fighter, and with the help of her community, she and her daughters can get through this challenging chapter. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
