Support Samuel's MFA Dream Journey

Donation protected
My name is Samuel Nnadi. I recently took the brave leap of applying for an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in order to improve on my craft, and got admissions offers at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, Chapman and University of Virginia—which I have chosen because it aligns most with my career goals. This wonderful offer comes with the burden and responsibility of making the necessary payments for (Visa fee, SEVIS fee, flight ticket, accommodation amongst other things) in other to secure an early date against resumption in Fall. I am soliciting your support today to help achieve this dream.

Being under the tutulege of Professor Rita Dove, Professor Lisa Russ Spaar and Professor Kiki Petrosino amongst other faculty member/cohorts at the University of Virginia has always been a dream, and this is a beautiful opportunity to learn and reinvent my poetry through language & language through poetry, paying close attention to literature. My writing seeks to amplify marginalized voices, bordering on displacement, in other to create a sense of belonging. As Amy Tan proposes, ‘You have to be displaced from what's comfortable and routine, before you get to see things with fresh eyes.’ So, I see my leaving for this program as an opportunity to see things
in a different light.

This three-year program would help me focus on my full-length manuscript "A Country of Bones & Medieval Rot" which is a wonderful work-in-progress that is already doing so many beautiful things out there.

Here, is a brief biography of my writing:
