Support Rachel and Ayden's New Family Journey

Hello family and friends. Those of you who know us know we recently became first time grandparents.

It has been quite a ride over the last 3 weeks holding that precious baby. It takes Kathy and I right back to the times we held our own in the wee hours of the morning.

Our reason for starting this fund is to help our daughter, Rachel, and her husband Ayden. They are a young family just getting started. They have had tremendous help through baby shower gifts and as well as general acts of kindness with meals from most of our friends and families over the past few weeks.

The latest challenge for them comes with the news that her employer has declined her short term disability. This was something Rachel had been assured everything was in order before the birth, however instead of a collection of her first payout, she was given the news that it was declined.

That means that she will not be collecting a paycheck for approximately 6 weeks. Kathy and I have some access to limited funds for assistance but this would likely tax our situation as well and not be enough to cover the need.

We know how loving our friends and family can be and humbly seek any kind of donation to help these young people through this trying period.

We are asking for financial aid to cover a month's worth of bills, along with the Prayers needed to strengthen these two young parents with the Holy Spirits peace beyond understanding!!

As Rachel struggles with some strong postpartum symptoms, this news has quite a blow. Those of us who have children understand the challenge of that first child. The sleepless nights, the stress of the realization a human life is 100% dependant on you!

As for Kathy and I, watching this happen to your child knowing there is only so much we can do is heart breaking.

If there is anything anyone can offer up to this situation, it would be a tremendous Blessing! The Prayers to our Mighty God in heaven are the most powerful and capable gifts.
