Hello everyone,

We are fundraising for Pamela Hunter and her family. On the night of Sunday August 3rd, she was admitted to RRMC for a precautionary finding of a partial blockage. She waited at RRMC for a bed to be available at UVM Medical Center.

They attempted a catheterization where they planned to put in a stent but that was not able to happen. They discovered that she had one artery blockage that was 100%, another one 90%, and another 70% blocked. Her films and situation were put in front of the surgeons and cardiologists to see what they thought her best options were, and they decided on a quadruple bypass surgery. Her case is very challenging and will involve major surgery (including a possible valve replacement), and extensive rehabilitation. This news has not been easy on Pam or her family. Her surgery is tentatively scheduled to take place on Wednesday (about 7 hours or so) and then she will be in ICU to recover. This GoFundMe has been started to help Pam with any bills and copays that will arise from this very costly hospital stay. Also, she has cherished having her family by her side during this difficult time and knows that they are beneficial to her healing but that this also comes at an expense with the hospital being so far from their home.

Any donations collected that go above and beyond what is needed, will be donated to the American Heart Association Go Red For Women campaign.
