Oscar Miguel is a dedicated monitor tech at Antelope Valley Medical Center and a dear friend of mine. He has always been someone who looks out for others, both at work and in his personal life. Now, he is facing an incredibly tough challenge: Oscar has been diagnosed with oral cancer for the second time. This diagnosis means he will soon undergo a complex surgery that will require intubation, oral reconstruction, and likely a tracheostomy. The road ahead will be long and difficult, but Oscar is determined to fight through it with the same strength and resilience he’s shown throughout his life.

As Oscar prepares for surgery and the recovery that follows, he will be unable to work and will face mounting medical bills, daily living expenses, and the cost of healthcare premiums. These financial burdens add extra stress to an already overwhelming situation. By coming together to support Oscar, we can help ease some of these worries and allow him to focus on healing and regaining his health.
