Support Nepal Flood Relief

For more than 40 years, Nepal has been a huge part of KE Adventure Travel and holds a very special place in all of our hearts. During that time, we’ve built strong and lasting connections and friendships with local guides, agents, charities and communities who have welcomed our travellers and shared their wonderful country with us.
Right now, Nepal is dealing with the devastation caused by the catastrophic floods on 26th August. Countless lives have been lost, and infrastructure such as houses, roads and bridges swept away in the Himalayan border area. We want to do what we can to support those affected, including our friends and colleagues in Nepal and their families, as well as everyone working tirelessly in the rescue and recovery efforts.
We’ve set up this appeal to raise funds for those who need them most. Rather than supporting one organisation during this key first response time, when it isn’t necessarily clear which one is most appropriate, we’re making this a general appeal so we can work with our trusted network in Nepal and direct donations to exactly where they are needed most.
Having people we know and trust on the ground means we can respond to the situation as it develops and help get support directly to affected families, communities and those involved in the recovery.
Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting people in Nepal. We will also share on this page exactly where it goes.
Whether you’ve travelled to Nepal with us, have a personal connection to this incredible country or simply want to help people facing an incredibly difficult time, any donation, however large or small, can make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
The KE Adventure Travel Team

Thank you for helping us support Nepal
We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity shown through this appeal. Thanks to everyone who has donated, we have raised a fantastic amount to support people and communities affected by the devastating floods.
After extensive research and discussions with our trusted local partners, we’re very pleased to share how the funds raised will be distributed. We have carefully considered where the money can have the greatest impact and where we can be confident it will reach those who need it most.
- The Juniper Trust
The Juniper Trust is a long-standing charity partner of KE, with particularly close ties to our team. KE founder and former director Glenn Rowley was a founding member of the Juniper Trust and remains a trustee and director today.
Following the floods, the Juniper Trust quickly mobilised its team in Nepal to provide support in the worst-affected areas. The team identified three schools still operating and supporting around 650 children. Working directly with headteachers and village leaders, they identified exactly what was needed and organised a delivery of essential supplies. £5,000 from our appeal has already helped fund this first KE-supported delivery, with the first supplies now reaching the region. We have also pledged a further £5,000 for a second delivery, which is currently being sourced.
- Karuna Shechen
One third of the funds will go to Karuna Shechen, a charitable organisation supported by our parent company, Voyageurs du Monde, for many years.
Karuna Shechen works with marginalised communities across the Himalayas, and its established presence and experience in the region means it is well placed to direct support where it is most needed. Voyageurs du Monde have also made a sizeable donation to Karuna Shechen to support its work following the floods.
- Supporting other causes in Nepal
The remaining third will be divided between other worthwhile causes directly supporting people affected by the floods. This will include direct support for the families of our crew and ground agents, some of whom have lost their homes and family members.
We are taking the time to make sure these funds go to the right people and places.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated, shared our appeal or helped spread the word. Your generosity is already making a difference, and we’ll continue to update as the funds are distributed and more support reaches communities across Nepal.
