It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Megan Zic, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Megan fought bravely against brain cancer for several years, enduring multiple surgeries to remove recurrent glioblastomas, each of which took a significant toll on her. Tragically, Megan passed away on Father’s Day, just as the world around her was celebrating.

Despite her valiant fight, the cancer impacted Megan deeply, robbing her of the ability to form new short-term memories. In February, she faced the heartbreaking challenge of not recognizing her surroundings or her own son, who had grown much taller since she last remembered him. By April, Megan’s condition necessitated a move to hospice care, and in June, she peacefully moved on to whatever lies beyond this life.

Megan is mourned by her young sons: Nicholas, who faced this immense loss just days before his senior prom, and Ethan, still a toddler. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Alex and Madison, as well as a large family who cherished her deeply and now seeks to provide her with the dignified farewell she deserves.
