We are raising funds to support our father, Mario Giovanni Perello Egan, as he continues his fight against cancer. Our dad is 65 years old, a devoted husband, loving father of three, and proud grandfather of three. He is the kind of person who is always there for others—warm, social, generous, and deeply faithful. Anyone who knows him knows how much he believes in God’s power and how much he values family and community.
In May 2025, our father was diagnosed with an esophageal tumor. Shortly after his diagnosis, he began an intense treatment process and completed six rounds of chemotherapy. Thanks to those treatments, the tumor significantly reduced in size, and his most severe symptom—difficulty swallowing—disappeared. This gave us hope and strength to keep moving forward. On January 6, 2026, our father underwent surgery with the expectation that the tumor would be removed. Unfortunately, during the procedure, the surgeon determined it could not be safely removed and recommended radiotherapy as the next critical step in his treatment.
He now needs to travel to El Salvador in February to receive 27 radiotherapy sessions, scheduled five days a week with rest on weekends. The cost of the radiotherapy alone is approximately $10,000 not including travel, lodging, food, medications, and other living expenses during the weeks he must remain in another country for treatment. During the chemotherapy phase, our family and loved ones helped us financially, and we are forever grateful for that support. However, the medical expenses are ongoing, and this next phase of treatment represents a significant financial challenge for our family.
All donations from this campaign will go directly toward covering the cost of our father’s radiotherapy treatment, helping him access the care he urgently needs to continue fighting this disease. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign also means more than you know. Thank you very much for your support.
