Support Makenna's Fight Against Thyroid Cancer

Hi my name is Evie. If you know me then you have probably met or heard me talk about my little sister Makenna. Recently my family was informed that Makenna has Papillary Thyroid Cancer. She was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease a few years back and we have followed up accordingly with checkups. This year, after her most recent biopsy, we were told there are cancerous cells in her thyroid. We are lucky to be starting this journey early. With this discovery it means Makenna will need surgery to remove part, but more likely all, of her thyroid. Once surgery has happened we will be able to know if it has spread to her lungs, until then we are praying it had stayed in the one spot that’s been detected. Knowing my little sister has been through the wringer with medical issues there is no doubt in my mind that she will persist and push through this journey with her resilience.
