Help Luis Battle Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,my name is Joselyn, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend,Luis Zuloaga.

Our beloved Luis has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) an aggressive and fast-progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Just weeks ago,he was working two jobs,caring for his only daughter Daniella,pursuing dreams,and striving for a better life for himself and his loved ones. This sudden diagnosis has changed his life in an instant, and he is now facing a long and difficult fight for survival.

To combat this life threatening illness,Luis has been hospitalized to begin 4 weeks of intensive chemotherapy, including powerful drugs like Cytarabine and Daunorubicin, along with Midostaurin, a targeted therapy that helps fight leukemia at the genetic level. He is also being treated with Hydroxyurea, an oral chemotherapy used to quickly lower dangerous white blood cell counts. The road ahead may also include immunotherapy, advanced medications, and possibly a bone marrow transplant ,depending on how his condition responds.

These treatments are physically and emotionally draining, and the financial toll is immense. While we’re doing everything we can to support Luis we cannot do it alone. The costs of:

Hospital stays and inpatient chemotherapy

Oral chemotherapy medications like Hydroxyurea

Targeted therapies such as Midostaurin

Ongoing lab tests, imaging, and monitoring

Travel for treatment and follow-up care

Lost income during extended recovery

...are adding up quickly.
