Stand With Captain Jesse Castillo & His Family

Some people spend their lives running toward danger so that others can make it home safely.

Captain Jesse Castillo is one of those people.

For more than a decade, Jesse has faithfully served Montgomery County as a firefighter/Lieutenant and currently serves as a Captain with Porter Fire Department. He has dedicated his life to protecting complete strangers, mentoring fellow firefighters, and serving his community with courage, humility, and unwavering integrity.

But above every title he has ever held, Jesse is first and foremost a devoted husband to his wife, Taylor, and a loving father to their two beautiful children—Titan (6) and Athena (3). They are the center of his world.

Anyone who knows Jesse knows the kind of man he is.

He is the one who quietly steps in when someone needs help. The one who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. The one who inspires those around him simply by the way he lives—with strength, generosity, discipline, and heart.

Today, Jesse and his family are facing the greatest battle of their lives.

After being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, the disease has continued to progress and has now spread to multiple organs throughout his body. While chemotherapy is no longer an option, Jesse has been given the opportunity to participate in an experimental cancer treatment trial. We continue to pray that this treatment provides hope and that God performs a miracle beyond what medicine can explain.

As this fight has intensified, Taylor has stepped away from work so she can remain by Jesse’s side, care for him, and be present for Titan and Athena during every precious moment they have together.

Like so many families facing catastrophic illness, the emotional weight is overwhelming enough without the added burden of financial uncertainty.

Our greatest hope is to lift as much of that burden as possible.

Every donation will help provide financial stability for Jesse’s family by helping with medical-related expenses, household costs, daily living expenses, and allowing Taylor and the children to spend this invaluable time together without the constant pressure of finances. Our hope is also to help provide security for Titan and Athena in the months and years ahead as they navigate an unimaginable journey.
