Jilliane Robles-Green, my beloved wife, has always been the heart of our family. On November 29th, 2025, our lives changed when I found her unresponsive on our bedroom floor. I immediately called 911, and first responders rushed her to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Twice, her heart stopped, and doctors worked tirelessly to revive her. After being placed on life support, Jilliane miraculously woke up two days later, surrounded by me, Jill's two sons, and her daughter-in-law. The doctors discovered internal bleeding in her upper GI, caused by end-stage liver disease.She underwent a procedure for esophageal varices and was discharged on December 4th. Unfortunately, on December 16th, she experienced more internal bleeding and was readmitted. Doctors drained fluid from her stomach and performed a TIPS procedure and a stent was placed above her liver to stop the GI bleeding, which was successful. Jilliane was discharged on December 24th, and now the next step is an evaluation at Advent Health to see if she is a candidate for a liver transplant. With a new liver, she could have many more years with us—possibly even 20-30 years, depending on how her body responds. Medicine has come so far, and we have hope she will watch her youngest children, Noah and Kayla, graduate high school and enter adulthood and watch her 10-month-old grandson, Drè, grow up and become a grandmother to more grandbabies!Although Jilliane is stable and mobile for short distances, she relies on me for daily care. I am the only source of income for our family, and while Jilliane has applied for social security disability, the process is long and uncertain. The financial strain is significant, with some medical bills not covered by insurance, daily living expenses, and the costs of her liver transplant evaluation, liver, surgery, medications, post op appointments and transportation to appointments. We are reaching out for help to cover these urgent needs and give Jilliane the best chance at a longer, healthier life. As you all know, we do not know when our time on earth is over. Only the Great Physician knows this who is Jesus Christ. No other Dr. I understand times are tough for a lot of us, especially around the holidays. I pray for peace, comfort and love this season.
