Support Jeremiah's Fight Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Donation protected
Hello all,
I started this fundraiser because leaving Jerimiah's side and leaving his family is super hard and we wanted to do something to continue helping them on this journey. Please take a moment to read and donate if you so feel inclined. If not please share far and wide so we can help them focus on getting him better, not the financial part of it.
Jeremiah is a 17-year-old student in 11th grade currently located in FL. He is originally from PA.
This kid is one of the nicest, sweetest kids you could ever ask for. He is always easy going, goes with the flow and just an all-around chill kid ALWAYS willing to help out. He was always known as the baby whisperer as he could settle a crying baby when he himself was just 10-12. Just a kind sweet soul with so much life.
Fast forward to a couple months ago. Jeremiah started feeling sick. It started out as normal symptoms and then took a quick turn to night sweats, fevers and weight loss. His mother took him into the doctors, the hospital and so on and fast forward to a couple weeks ago he was admitted into the hospital for Pneumonia. Then came every families worst nightmare. They found some spots on his lungs and in his lymph nodes.
Jeremiah was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. As if the news couldn't get worse, the doctors found a couple more spots ( some tests are still not back) but he was diagnosed as stage 4 which is the worst stage in childhood cancer. He is currently in Palm Springs Children's hospital, and he underwent his first round of Chemotherapy on Friday the 7th. This is his first of many for at least the next 6 months. We are hoping and praying his body takes to the chemo and that the doctors have done and will do everything they can.
Jeremiah is like usual his easy-going self. He doesn't ask for much and tries to stay positive. He is handling this way better than anyone could imagine. He is scared and he does get sad but all in all his spirits are keeping everyone going around him.
This has all taken a toll of the family both emotionally and now financially. This family has had to endure so much in the past and now this. They need to be with him as much as possible and even when he comes home, he will have to go back to the hospital every two weeks for another round of chemo. The amount of work everyone is missing, The copays, the doctors' bills, the Chemo medicine, and so many more added expenses is all extremely expensive not to mention... The gas back and forth as they live almost an hour away from the hospital. The food as they need him to eat and the hospital food isn't that great, It is all adding up.
Please, please, please I am begging for help for them. No one should have to go through this let alone a child. No parent should have to worry about whether to go see their kid in the hospital or go to work. This is all so much and navigating the right thing to do is hard. Jerimiah also has many brothers and sisters ranging from the age of 27 to just 5 so keeping the littles as normal as possible is important as well.
Please donate what you can. If you are not in the position to donate, please share, Pray, send good thoughts, vibes, juju, whatever you can to this family and the amazing kid that has to go through this. He is a strong kid, and I have faith he will beat it, we all do.
Thank you for reading and please if you did read this far, please hug your kids, family, friends and pets a little tighter the next time you see them because you really never know when something will happen that turns your world upside down.
With love Nicole and all the rest of Jeremiah's family
