This is for my cousin Jen. Her daughter Lexi was born 7 weeks premature, and has a long road to recovery in the hospital. I'm asking for donations for her and her little one due to bills piling up. It was a very hard pregnancy that I never thought would happen. It became complicated in my second trimester. I gained Chronic Hypertension, amongst many other issues. The hypertension took a toll on my body thoughout the pregnancy, eventual causeing a placental abruption. The placenta tore 9cm away from the wall, causing myself and the baby to go into major disdress. By the time i got to the hospital, they couldnt find babys heartbeat and when they did, it had dropped so low, that thats when they called for staff assist and an emergency csection. They got her out of me, and she wasnt breathing. They worked on her for a bit and then had to intubate her. They found meconium inside me from her which also caused her to have an infection. I lost a ton of blood, but by the grace of god, did not have to have a blood transfusion. God is the only reason she is here today. She is such a little fighter. Last night they put her back on oxygen because she had a little setback with her breathing. I pray she keeps progressing from here on out.
