Support Jason's Battle Against B-Cell Lymphoma
Donation protected
Approximately 3 months ago, my brother Jason was experiencing horrific pain in his right knee while on his honeymoon with his wife, Casey. The pain subsided and he assumed it was just changes in the arthritic pain from his car accident in 2014, or possibly the degenerative bone disease, AVN, that he was diagnosed with shortly after the accident.
A month later, the pain returned, worse than before. He immediately made an appointment with his orthopedic team. At an appointment on May 1st, they noticed some abnormality in the bone, and an MRI was scheduled for the following day. The following evening, he received a text from his surgeon at 10 pm asking him to call him immediately.
The news was something that no one ever wants to hear—-Jason was informed that he has a tumor in his femur and was immediately referred to an oncologist at Hillman Cancer Center . After weeks of testing , and a deep bone biopsy, Jason received the call that changed his life: he was diagnosed with cancerous
B-cell lymphoma. He was also informed that he has a fracture in his femur, which has left him non-weight bearing for the next 4-6 months while he undergoes several rounds of chemotherapy!
As we all know, Jason is the first to lend a helping hand to any one he meets, without question. We would like to return the favor, and ask family, friends and the community to help support Jason and Casey in these challenging times, as we all know they would, and have done, for many others.
We THANK YOU in advance for your help and support during these unknown times, and hope to ease the financial burden of Jason not being able to work for the foreseeable future!
