, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out to ask for help and support for my stepson, Jacob McDow. This campaign is not just about raising money—it’s about building a circle of community support for Jacob as he works to rebuild and move forward in life.Many of you may know Jacob’s dad, Jamie McDow, who has generously helped fix cars for countless people in our community, often without asking for payment. His kindness has made a difference for so many. Jacob’s mom, Mandi McClurg, is another person who gives selflessly. She’s supported those in need and has done so quietly, without expecting anything in return—even when it meant sacrificing her own transportation and phon.Sometimes, acts of kindness go unnoticed, and it’s easy to take them for granted. We’ve all faced tough times when we needed a fresh start, and Jacob is at that crossroads now. Coming to community corrections is overwhelming, and making positive choices can be hard when your environment doesn’t chang.Jacob needs a wide range of support: leads on jobs, hygiene items, clothes, shoes, food, rides, or opportunities for safe, fun activities. If you can help with any of these or have experience to share that might benefit his journey, it would mean so much. He could also really use a bike (ideally BMX, but any type would help him get around)Thank you for taking the time to read Jacob’s story and considering any way you might contribute—whether it’s sharing this with others, providing resources, or just words of encouragement.
