At age 40, Isaac was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since been disabled by 46 medical conditions that include diabetes, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis, severe depression, and other health challenges. Now, turning 60, Isaac takes meds 12 times a day and keeps about 10 medical appointments per week. He is unable to work, living on a fixed income, and in imminent danger of having to leave the city he's loved and lived in for 40 years.
