Support Hagop fight Acute Lymphomia Luekemia

Donation protected
My name is Sareen Tchaderian and I am writing this to fundraise to help my husband, Hagop and our little girl.

Hagop, also known as DJ Jack in his community, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphomia Leukemia (T-Cell ALL) on September 23, 2022.

In 2015 his family and himself were sponsored and relocated to Toronto as refugees to escape the Syrian War. Thanks to his sponsors in Toronto Hagop and I met! We tied the knot on August 31, 2019 and welcomed our little girl Nairy on July 5, 2020.

On the night of September 10th, Hagop had intense pain in his abdominal and was rushed to the emergency department. After a week of back to back hospital visits, and many tests he was diagnosed with T-Cell ALLeukemia; cancer found in the blood. On September 26, he was transfers to Princess Margaret to do his first bone marrow biopsy and to start treatment.

Hagop grew up having a unique passion for music. Back in Syria before the war, his friends and himself would regularly plan to have karaoke nights and always find a reason to express music and sing. It wasn’t until 2016 where he had the opportunity to change his passion into his career and began disk jockeying. He became known as DJ Jack and one of the greatest DJs in the Armenian community! His life goal became to see the happiness music brings to people regardless of the occasions.

Hagop received his first chemotherapy on October 4, 2022 at Princess Margaret Cancer Center while he was an inpatient for 41 days. He will be receiving chemo treatments for the next 2-3 years and won't be able to work due to the side affects from the drugs and medication. While diagnosed, Hagop will receive limited financial support from Employment Insurance. During these last 2 months, I'v been on Leave of Absence from my full time career to support my husband during these difficulty times. You may be wondering, why create a "GoFund" account now; it's because as of January 2023, the financial assistant income from ODSP is less than EI income due to Hagop's work salary. We ask for support during these difficult times as our Fix expenses does not stop (rent, car insurance, car finance etc). When we first found out, we were asked
if we wanted to register for GoFundMe but hesitated because we were financially stable. But as we enter the "intensity cycle"
of his chemotherapy, medication expenses rise and ongoing trips to the hospital increase.

From the bottom of our heart, we thank each and everyone of you for your support.

xo,

Hagop, Sareen and Nairy
