It is with the deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Haylezgi Berhane Welde on March 4th, 2026, as the result of a vehicle accident.

Haylezgi came to Canada three years ago with dreams of building a better future. He was a devoted Husband, a beloved brother, and a cherished uncle. Seven months ago, he was overjoyed to be reunited with his wife, who joined him in Canada so they could begin building that beautiful life together. His life was filled with hope and love, and his loss leaves an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family of Haylezgi Berhane Welde is requesting support through a GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will help cover funeral and related expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
