Baker Alokla was only 18 years old.

He was deeply devoted to his family and carried responsibilities far beyond his years.

About two years ago, Baker’s father, the family’s main provider, was tragically paralyzed after a work accident and could no longer provide for the family. Since then, Baker has stepped up to help the family at a time most teenagers are focused on their own futures. Baker focused on helping his mother and supporting his younger siblings in any way he could.

We understand first hand how hard Baker worked for his family as he was an invaluable member of our team and was always eager to take more shifts.

On December 15th, Baker’s life was taken far too soon in a tragic traffic accident. His sudden passing has left an unimaginable hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Baker’s mother is a loving, selfless woman who does literally everything she can to care for her children.

This fundraiser is to help Baker’s family through this devastating time to cover basic living expenses, relieve financial pressure, and give them space to grieve without the fear of how they will survive day to day.

Any contribution, no matter the size, helps honor Baker’s memory by supporting the family he loved so deeply.

This fundraiser was created by Lumi’s Crepes, where Baker Alokla was a valued and deeply loved employee. Baker worked closely with our team for an extended period of time and was an expert in his role.

The owners of Lumi’s Crepes are also longtime family friends of Baker and his family. We created this fundraiser to support Baker’s mother and siblings during this devastating time.

All funds raised will be delivered to Baker’s mother (Manal Alokla). Lumi’s Crepes will not retain any portion of the funds.
