Paige and Kyle Flack, beloved members of the Whidbey Island community, recently welcomed their third son, Callum, on May 15, 2026. After a challenging labor at 41 weeks, Callum was born with an underdeveloped lower jaw, making it difficult for him to breathe on his own. Within hours of his birth, a specialized team from Seattle Children's Hospital arrived at their rural hospital to transport Callum and his father, Kyle, to the main campus in Seattle, where Callum is now fighting for his life in the NICU. Paige, having just given birth, joined them at the hospital, leaving their home and family farm behind.
Callum has had dangerously low oxygen levels and is now facing the possibility of a brain injury. He is strong and fighting, but is currently in a 72-hour protocol to cool his brain and prevent further injury. The next few days are critical, as his team of doctors will soon be able to do scans and assess any damage.
The Flacks are now facing mounting medical bills, the cost of transportation between Whidbey Island and Seattle, and the challenge of being away from their farm and two young sons, ages 4 and 6, who need childcare and support. As pillars of their community, Paige and Kyle have always been there for others, and now they need help as they navigate this unimaginable journey.
Your support will help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, travel, and time away from work, allowing Paige and Kyle to focus on Callum's recovery and caring for their family. Thank you for any contribution to make this difficult time better. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to the Flack family.
